Summary

Position’s General Duties and Task: 

IT Inventory Management Specialist will provide technical support for an extremely diverse biomedical research institute consisting of over 4,000 users. This is a challenging job with state-of-the-art equipment. We are looking for people with the desire to experience a diverse fast paced environment. The candidate should have strong communication skills and the ability to work with demanding users. 

Essential Duties: 

  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including tracking all products or materials coming in and going out.
  • Perform regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between actual inventory and recorded inventory.
  • Ensure that inventory is stored in a safe and secure manner, and that all items are properly labeled and identified.
  • Manage inventory flow and logistics, including receiving and processing incoming shipments, and preparing outgoing shipments.
  • Coordinate with program manager to ensure that inventory levels are sufficient to meet demand.
  • Identify and report any issues or problems with inventory, such as damaged goods or low stock levels.
  • Manage stock and loaner devices and distribute them to customers as needed.
  • Respond to customers in a timely manner with accurate information.
  • Review and submit orders in system.
  • Request supply quotes from vendors
  • Follow up on all outstanding inquires.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment.
  • Enter and update information in databases and spreadsheets, ensuring that data is accurate and up to date.
  • Maintain paper and electronic files and ensure all documents are organized and accessible.
  • Validate items that arrive for accuracy and update system.
    • Responsible for the distribution and shipment of new and replacement devices to customers
    • Attend meetings, take accurate notes, and follow up on action items.
    • Process devices for recycling

    Required Skills: 

    • Skills Inventory Management, Logistics-Inventory Management and Delivery Management - 1+ years exp.

    Soft Skills Needed:

    • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
    • Good organizational and time-management skills
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Attention to detail and accuracy.
    • E-mail and phone communication
    • Customer service and support

     

    Physical Requirements and Work Environment:  

    • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs.  
    • Must be able to walk for long distances. 
    • Must be able to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
