Universal Orlando - Scrum Master_USA_USD

Location: Orlando, Florida (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a Scrum Master to lead Agile software development. This role involves guiding, coaching, and motivating a team to increase productivity and use Agile/Scrum practices to drive value. The ideal candidate will serve as the team's Scrum expert, removing impediments and facilitating ceremonies to ensure successful project completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, retrospectives, and sprint demos.
  • Guide the team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values to drive end value.
  • Lead the team on self-organizing to fill in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Remove impediments to help the team reach an optimum, sustainable velocity.
  • Assess the Scrum Maturity of the team and organization, coaching them to higher levels of maturity.
  • Communicate and ensure alignment of priorities with Program stakeholders and within the team.
  • Build and support a trusting and safe environment where challenges are addressed proactively.
  • Manage, publish, and communicate information radiators and relevant metrics to the team on progress.
  • Understand and participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

Education: A BA degree is preferred.

Experience: 5-7 years of scrum experience with at least 2 years as a Scrum Master required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience guiding teams to effectively write, split, and map stories is necessary.

Certifications: A Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification is required.

Technical Skills:
  • Understanding of basic fundamentals of software development processes and procedures.
  • Knowledge of test-driven development.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes related to Scrum.
  • Experience with relative estimation, retrospective, and agile release planning techniques.

  • SAFe Advanced Scrum Master (SASM)
  • Certified Product Owner (CSPO)
  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP)
  • Certified SAFe Agilist (SA)
