Job#: 3020022 Job Description: Data Center Operations EngineerLocation: Frederick, MD (ONSITE)Contract Duration: 6 months Pay range: $30 - $34 an hourJob Description:The Data Center Technical Operations Engineer, Facility will be responsible for Data Center Engineering Operations within a Data Center including risk management and mitigation, corrective and preventative maintenance of critical infrastructure, vendor management and metric reporting.
Requirements: Top Must-Haves: - 2-4 years of Data Center Engineering Experience
- Hands on corrective maintenance experience on critical infrastructure/equipment (UPS, PDUs, generators, HVAC systems, CRAC/CRAH units, cooling towers.)
- 3+ years Electrical and/or Mechanical Operations Engineering experience in a Datacenter or Commercial Facility. (High voltage electrical exp. preferred over Mechanical).
Project Details: Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as: switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers, building monitoring systems, etc.
Responsible for the on-site management of shift technicians, senior shift technicians, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring that all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures. Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
Work with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability and efficiency.
Shift Description:0530 to 1800 for Dayshift
1730 to 0600 for Nights
Front half is SUN/MON/TUES + Every other WEDS
Back Half is Every other WEDS + THUR/FRI/SAT
