Position Purpose: Manages the overall data platform and infrastructure and mentors the team of data engineers. Supports developing processes, and expanding technology roadmap, planning features, measuring outputs, and ensuring quality products. They will also derive analytical insights from a variety of business contexts and communicate those insights effectively to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Manages experienced data engineers responsible for the design and development of software and processes to support complex and large scale, efficient data pipelines and optimizes the availability of data to generate insights and address business needs
  • Translates technical business goals and requirements into designs utilizing best practice design patterns and partner with engineering leads, product managers, and design leads in shaping and guiding the technical direction for the data engineering team
  • Establishes the planning, prioritization and execution of data production projects and processes and the activities of team of experienced data engineers responsible for developing software code that formats, tags, processes, stores and delivers data
  • Builds and establishes the standards and processes required to ensure the delivery of high-quality data products
  • Leads code reviews and lead complex technical discussions, accountable for the maintenance of agile processes and ceremonies for the data team
  • Manages and oversees the automation of key ETL / ELT (Extract / Transform / Load) and quality assurance (in collaboration with quality engineering team) processes for large volumes of data and migrations of workloads
  • Establishes and implements data governance, data quality, integrity, standards, master data management, metadata strategy, and business intelligence/analytics
  • Makes decisions on key technology choices for data pipelines to ensure that they are scalable, repeatable, secure, and can serve users at scale in the organization
  • Manages available resources to meet operating objectives and provides team leadership, fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Complies with all policies and standards

Education/Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 6+ years of related experience, including prior management experience.

Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.

Technical Skills:
  • One or more of the following skills are desired.
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development; Scrum (Software Development); Technical Support
  • Knowledge of Extract Transform Load (ETL); SQL (Programming Language)
  • Knowledge of Other: relational and non-relational databases, Cloud-based data processes, and business intelligence
  • Experience with one or more of the following Other: Experience in performing and monitoring enterprise level data governance, integrity, quality, managing master data, moving data between databases, providing metadata strategy, and business intelligence/analytics

Pay Range: $121,500.00 - $224,900.00 per year

Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law, including full-time or part-time status. Total compensation may also include additional forms of incentives. Benefits may be subject to program eligibility.
