Position Title Business Analyst
Location NYC, NJ, PA – Based on Client Requirement
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in Salesforce and/or ServiceNow platforms, preferably with experience supporting State Government clients. The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and project managers to gather requirements, analyze business processes, and support enterprise digital transformation initiatives.
The candidate should possess strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills along with hands-on experience in Agile environments and enterprise application implementations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Conduct workshops, stakeholder interviews, and requirement discovery sessions.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, workflows, and process diagrams.
- Work with Salesforce and/or ServiceNow technical teams during solution design and implementation.
- Support configuration, testing, UAT coordination, and deployment activities.
- Analyze existing business processes and recommend improvements and automation opportunities.
- Create BRDs, FRDs, process flows, use cases, gap analysis, and data mapping documents.
- Coordinate with QA teams for test case preparation and validation.
- Support Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.
- Assist in change management, training documentation, and end-user support.
- Ensure compliance with State/Government standards, policies, and security requirements when applicable.
Required Skills
Business Analysis
- Strong experience in business process analysis and requirement gathering
- Expertise in creating:
- BRD (Business Requirement Documents)
- FRD (Functional Requirement Documents)
- User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
- Workflow Diagrams
- Gap Analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Salesforce / ServiceNow
Experience with one or more of the following platforms:

- Sales Cloud / Service Cloud
- Salesforce workflows and reporting
- Understanding of Salesforce objects, dashboards, and integrations
- ITSM modules
- Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request workflows
- Service Catalog and CMDB understanding
- ServiceNow reporting and dashboards
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with State Government or Public Sector clients
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
- Understanding of APIs, integrations, and data migration concepts
- Experience supporting digital transformation or modernization projects
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
Preferred Certifications
One or more of the following certifications preferred:
Salesforce
- Salesforce Certified Administrator
- Salesforce Business Analyst Certification
ServiceNow
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist
General
- CBAP / CCBA Certification
- Scrum Master or Agile Certification
Experience Required
- 5+ years of Business Analyst experience
- 3+ years working with Salesforce and/or ServiceNow platforms
- State Government project experience preferred
