Genesis10 is currently seeking a Project Manager III for a hybrid contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, AZ or Birmingham, AL. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of successfully managing IT projects and delivering results while effectively managing project budgets and adhering to governance standards. This role involves leading the planning and execution of IT projects, particularly in the mortgage and lending space, utilizing project management tools like Clarizen, Jira, and Confluence.
Responsibilities: - Lead the planning and execution of IT projects, ensuring that project objectives are clearly defined and met
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed budgets, timelines, resource requirements, risk management strategies, and governance frameworks
- Effectively manage project budgets throughout the project lifecycle, tracking expenses, and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget constraints
- Identify opportunities to optimize project costs and resource utilization
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure the successful execution of project tasks
- Monitor project financial performance, providing regular updates to clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with governance bodies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies
- Conduct post-project financial reviews to evaluate project costs and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Leverage experience in the banking sector to manage IT projects that enhance client services and operational efficiency
- Utilize project management tools such as Clarizen, Jira, and Confluence to plan, track, and manage project activities
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience as an IT Project Manager with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with a focus on financial management and governance
- Experience with financial management (forecasting budgets, managing cost plans)
- Proficiency in using project management tools, including Clarizen, Jira, and Confluence
- Agile and SDLC experience
- Experience with Gap Analysis, Risk and Issue Management
- Ability to work in a cross-functional environment, manage multiple stakeholders, and prioritize work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills
Desired skills: - Experience in the banking sector, with specific expertise in mortgage and lending projects
- PMP or other project management certification
- Kanban experience
Pay range: $53.88 - $61.88 per hour
