  • Design and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance plans, including vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, and condition monitoring.
  • Troubleshoot and support PLC, control systems, and automation issues in collaboration with controls engineers and maintenance technicians.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using reliability-centered maintenance (RCM), FMEA, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Analyze equipment performance and production data to identify reliability trends, present findings, and implement improvement projects.
  • Lead equipment upgrades, retrofits, and commissioning activities; manage vendor relationships and ensure equipment documentation is current.
  • Work with operations to develop and deliver training for maintenance and operations staff on reliability best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Manage spare parts strategy and collaborate with procurement to ensure critical parts availability while controlling inventory costs.
  • Ensure all reliability activities comply with food safety and regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, HACCP) and support safety and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of reliability, maintenance engineering, or controls engineering experience in food manufacturing, beverage manufacturing, or food production environments preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC programming, controls troubleshooting, and automation systems.
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer or Controls Engineer with strong equipment reliability results.
  • Skilled in root cause analysis, FMEA, RCM, and other reliability tools and methodologies.
  • Experience with CMMS systems, data analysis, and reliability performance metrics (MTBF, MTTR, OEE).
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
  • Working knowledge of food safety and regulatory standards applicable to beverage production and food production.
  • Strong project management, communication, and teamwork skills; ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
