We are seeking an experienced Development Technician III to support the integration, testing, fabrication, and troubleshooting of advanced electronic and aerospace hardware.

This position will work directly with flight and engineering development hardware, including printed wiring assemblies, cables, chassis, test equipment, and rack-level systems. The technician will execute detailed test procedures, support environmental testing, diagnose component-level issues, and ensure hardware is assembled and maintained in accordance with strict aerospace quality and safety standards.

This is a fully onsite position requiring regular in-person work five days per week. Travel or local commuting between company facilities and other project locations may occasionally be required.
What You'll Do
Integration and Testing
  • Lead box-level hardware integration, printed wiring assembly testing, and electrical support and ground support equipment certifications.
  • Conduct environmental testing, including vibration, thermal, and thermal vacuum testing.
  • Perform power-on checks, operational system validation, post-delivery activities, and complex rack configuration changes.
  • Execute detailed test procedures and troubleshoot hardware at the component and system levels.
  • Serve as a test conductor by using software scripts to command hardware, monitor telemetry, and document system performance.
  • Use digital multimeters, digital oscilloscopes, function generators, programmable power supplies, and Cirris testers to inspect and verify electronic hardware.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot test cables with minimal supervision.
  • Measure and record test results and promptly identify and report out-of-tolerance conditions.
Assembly and Quality
  • Fabricate, assemble, modify, and rework flight and engineering development hardware, including printed wiring assemblies, cable assemblies, chassis, test aids, and 19-inch rack systems.
  • Perform work in accordance with IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, and applicable aerospace or space addendum requirements.
  • Read and interpret complex electrical schematics, wire lists, engineering drawings, and technical work instructions.
  • Accurately document redline changes and provide feedback regarding drawing or procedural discrepancies.
  • Follow all electrostatic discharge, safety, tool-control, cleanroom, and foreign-object-debris prevention requirements.
  • Handle flight hardware in accordance with established aerospace quality standards and procedures.
Project and Team Support
  • Manage assignments efficiently while balancing cost, schedule, quality, and hardware manufacturability.
  • Provide detailed daily and weekly updates outlining completed work, upcoming milestones, roadblocks, and estimated completion timelines.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, program management, and other technical teams.
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships across departments and business units.
  • Perform additional technical and project-support responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of related electronics, electrical, aerospace, manufacturing, integration, or testing experience.
  • Advanced proficiency using digital multimeters, digital oscilloscopes, function generators, and programmable power supplies.
  • Strong theoretical understanding of analog, digital, power, and FPGA-based electronics.
  • Experience fabricating, assembling, modifying, or reworking cables, chassis, printed wiring assemblies, test aids, or 19-inch rack systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wire lists, engineering drawings, and detailed test procedures.
  • Experience conducting hardware integration, validation, troubleshooting, or electrical testing.
  • Knowledge of electrostatic discharge controls, hardware safety, tool control, and foreign-object-debris prevention.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in laboratories, cleanrooms, production environments, and other technical facilities.
  • Ability to maintain a regular and predictable onsite work schedule.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience assembling, testing, or handling aerospace, spacecraft, satellite, avionics, or flight hardware.
  • Experience performing thermal, thermal vacuum, vibration, or other environmental testing.
  • Working knowledge of IPC-A-610, IPC/WHMA-A-620, J-STD-001, or related space addendum standards.
  • Experience using Cirris cable and harness testing equipment.
  • Experience serving as a test conductor and using scripts to command hardware or monitor telemetry.
  • Experience with box-level integration, PWA testing, ground support equipment, or electrical support equipment certification.
  • Certification in one or more IPC electronics assembly or soldering standards.
  • Associate degree, technical certificate, bachelor's degree, or other related education in electronics, electrical engineering technology, aerospace technology, avionics, or a comparable discipline.
