We are seeking
2 Pin Pad Technicians to support a retail hardware refresh involving the removal and installation of Verifone pin-pad devices. Technicians will follow detailed instructions, maintain clean cabling standards, and complete onsite testing and documentation with store management.
Position OverviewAs a Pin Pad Technician, you will remove existing
Verifone devices and install new
Verifone PIN pads following the clients provided documentation. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliable communication with store leadership, and the ability to follow step-by-step procedures accurately.
Key Responsibilities- Remove existing Verifone pin-pad devices.
- Installing new Verifone PIN pads according to written instructions.
- Ensure all cables are securely connected, properly routed, and fully functional.
- Maintain excellent cable hygiene, including:
- Concealing cable routing
- Removing excess slack
- Eliminating trip hazards
- Using approved cable-management materials (Velcro, zip ties, etc.)
- Conduct test transactions with the Manager.
- Complete the Pin Pad Verification Form for each register.
- Capture all required photos and upload documentation to Kohl's designated repository prior to leaving each site.
Tools RequiredTechnicians
must bring the following tools to each site:
- Standard PC tool kit
- Smartphone (for taking and sending photos)
- Security torque screwdriver
- Double-sided tape
- Zip ties
- Velcro straps
- Wire cutters
Requirements- Experience with POS hardware, pin-pads, or low-voltage retail equipment preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed written instructions and checklists.
- Strong communication skills and professionalism with store managers.
- Reliable transportation and punctuality for scheduled site visits.
- Comfort working with cables, small hardware, and handheld tools.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Omaha, NE.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
