Senior Azure Cloud & Network Architect

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Jacksonville, FL that is seeking a Senior Azure Cloud & Network Architect that is responsible for designing and advancing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure. This role focuses on Azure networking, hybrid connectivity, and modern platform architecture to support both internal systems and customer-facing applications.

Summary:
The architect promotes the use of Infrastructure as Code, automation, and standardized deployment practices to enable reliable and repeatable cloud delivery. Working closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams, this role establishes architectural standards and governance models that support long-term scalability, resilience, and compliance.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Strong experience in both Azure cloud architecture and enterprise networking is required, including integrating on-premise environments with Azure platforms
* Proven experience designing secure, scalable Azure cloud environments, including landing zones, network segmentation, and resilient multi-region architectures
* Strong background in hybrid cloud networking, integrating on-premise infrastructure with Azure through secure private connectivity
* Deep understanding of enterprise networking, including routing, DNS/DHCP, firewalls, VPNs, WAN/LAN, and modern network architectures
* Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, automation, and CI/CD pipelines to standardize and streamline deployments
* Ability to build reusable platform patterns and standardized environments that accelerate and secure application delivery
* Solid foundation in cloud and network security, including Zero Trust principles, monitoring, incident prevention, and compliance support (e.g., SOC, PCI, regulatory audits)
* Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies, including RPO/RTO considerations
* Experience troubleshooting complex systems using logs, monitoring platforms, and data analysis tools
* Ability to manage multiple initiatives and vendors while maintaining clear, accurate technical documentation
* Adaptable and quick to learn new technologies, platforms, and tooling as environments evolve

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
