In your first year with TI, you will participate in the Career Accelerator Program (CAP), which provides professional and technical training and resources to accelerate your ramp into TI and set you up for long-term career success. Within this program, we also offer function-specific technical training and on-the-job learning opportunities that will encourage you to solve problems through a variety of hands-on, meaningful experiences from your very first day on the job.

At TI, Systems Marketing Engineers focus deeply on understanding the technical needs of our customer, and future trends of an industry or end equipment, then create systems level solutions. Systems Marketing Engineers drive technical collaboration with customers, product lines, and TI sales force to drive innovative whole system solutions across key end equipment.

In this System Marketing Engineer role, you'll have the opportunity to:
  • Develop a deep understanding of current and emerging trends in data center power delivery architectures and component selections
  • Evaluate and compare power architectures, topologies and device options to identify optimal solutions
  • Collaborate closely with customers to deliver innovative solutions to complex technical challenges
  • Leverage TI's broad portfolio to create system-level solutions that accelerate customers' product development cycles
  • Integrate hardware and software capabilities to deliver comprehensive, end-to-end TI solutions
  • Lead reference design development, including architecture evaluation, design calculations, simulations, schematic, PCB layout, validation, and promotion
  • Partner directly with TI business units and customers to help shape future product roadmaps
  • Gather customer requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and drive implementation across end equipement
  • Deliver complete and high-quality documentation for system-level solutions
  • Diagnose and resolve system-level issues through hands-on debugging in collaboration with customers and internal teams

Qualifications

Minimum requirements:
  • Minimum Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
  • Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
  • Experience and/or coursework in Power Electronics

Preferred qualifications
  • Hands-on lab experience in designing and testing power converters
  • Solid understanding of various power converter topologies and control methodologies
  • Experience in system-level analysis and comparison, with the ability to propose innovative architectures
  • Strong ability to decompose and analyze complex systems
  • Proven teamwork experience with demonstrated leadership and effective cross-functional communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Knowledge of structured and/or object-oriented programming (e.g., C, C++), as well as fundamentals in electromagnetics and thermodynamics
  • Experience in power converter systems modeling and algorithm development
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to present solutions to stakeholders and customers
  • Ability to quickly ramp up on new systems, tools, and processes
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and drive for results
  • Strong time management skills with a track record of delivering projects on schedule
  • Proficiency with engineering calculation and simulation tools such as Mathcad, Mathematica, SIMPLIS, PLECS, and ANSYS
