SAP Archiving Consultant

As an SAP Archiving Consultant, you will define the overarching Data Management Strategy to optimize system performance and reduce storage costs. You will be responsible for the end-to-end technical execution of archiving processes while ensuring that historical data remains accessible and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement comprehensive Data Archiving Strategies and Retention Policies.
• Configure Archiving Objects across core modules: Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), Materials Management (MM), and Sales and Distribution (SD).
• Manage technical execution, including Job Scheduling and Monitoring of archiving runs.
• Ensure Regulatory Compliance and data integrity for internal and external Audits.
• Support Stakeholders through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide functional support for historical data retrieval.
• Optimize Database Performance by identifying and retiring obsolete data while maintaining system stability.

Essential Skills:

• Expertise in SAP Archiving Object Configuration (FI, CO, MM, SD).
• Deep understanding of Data Retention Policies and Legal Hold requirements.
• Proficiency in Technical Job Management (Scheduling and Monitoring).
• Strong knowledge of SAP Information Lifecycle Management (ILM).
• Proven ability to lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and provide audit support.

Desirable Skills:

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Migration and data volume management.
• Familiarity with Cloud Storage solutions and OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM).
• Relevant SAP Certifications in System Administration or Data Management.
