Job Details

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced, and skilled Mechanical Superintendent to join our team. This role is critical to the success of our engineering projects and will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of our skilled craft personnel. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations, construction scheduling and cost control, as well as a proven ability to manage and mentor a diverse team.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate craft personnel in support of the field's fluctuating labor needs for activities related to project/systems construction and maintenance.
  • Ensure all company, department, and technical policies, procedures, standards, etc., are adhered to. Interpret policies as required.
  • Assess crew and foremen skills and provide coaching and mentoring as necessary.
  • Manage differences and diversity in the workplace, promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems before they escalate into major difficulties.
  • Handle administrative duties of the position, including the completion of required paperwork.
  • Use time management and goal-setting effectively to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a strong attention to detail and remain diplomatic and calm under pressure.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA safety regulations as well as company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety regulations.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage differences and diversity in the workplace.
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
  • Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
  • Ability to handle administrative duties of the position.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to remain diplomatic and calm under pressure.
  • OSHA-30 certification (if not currently certified, must be obtained within six (6) months from date of hire).
