System Administrator 3

• Responsible for administering and supporting enterprise infrastructure environments including Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and cloud-based systems.
• Supports infrastructure operations, patch management, security compliance, backup and recovery, and incident response activities to ensure secure and reliable IT services.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain operational stability, governance compliance, and continuous service improvement.

Requirement/Must Have:

• Experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience supporting Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online and Entra ID/Azure AD.
• Experience with patch management and system maintenance.
• Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple operational tasks and priorities.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to follow structured governance and operational processes.

Experience:

• Experience supporting infrastructure and operations environments.
• Experience managing hybrid infrastructure environments preferred.
• Experience with incident response and operational support activities.
• Experience with system monitoring and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities:

• Administer Windows Server environments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP services.
• Support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online and Entra ID/Azure AD.
• Maintain system performance, availability, and configuration management.
• Execute server patching and vulnerability remediation activities.
• Coordinate patch schedules and validate patches before deployment.
• Track patch compliance and remediation status.
• Implement security controls and support identity and access management practices.
• Support MFA, system hardening, logging, and monitoring integrations.
• Assist with audits and compliance activities.
• Monitor infrastructure systems and respond to operational alerts and incidents.
• Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 infrastructure support.
• Participate in incident response, escalation management, and root cause analysis.
• Administer backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Perform backup validation and recovery testing.
• Support recovery objectives and operational continuity requirements.
• Follow established change management and governance processes.
• Execute infrastructure changes in controlled environments.
• Participate in CAB and operational governance activities.
• Collaborate with Network Engineering, End User Services, and Application teams.
• Communicate system status, operational risks, and issues to leadership.

Should Have:

• Experience in government or regulated environments preferred.
• Experience with hybrid infrastructure including Azure preferred.
• Familiarity with NIST or similar security frameworks preferred.
• Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization technologies preferred.
• Exposure to monitoring, SIEM, or endpoint management tools preferred.
