Job Summary:
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Office of Information Technology, is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to oversee, manage, troubleshoot, and support enterprise cloud services and infrastructure that power FDOT's applications, data, and critical business operations.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience administering AWS, Microsoft Azure, Windows Server, and Linux environments while supporting identity and access management, infrastructure operations, security, compliance, cloud platforms, Azure DevOps, and enterprise application hosting. This position requires ownership of medium-to-high complexity technical initiatives supporting mission-critical state government systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and expand FDOT's enterprise infrastructure and cloud environments.
Coordinate server configuration and administration across FDOT, State Data Center (SDC), and third-party vendors.
Recommend server, infrastructure, and software upgrades.
Monitor infrastructure, applications, and cloud environments for security, availability, performance, and reliability.
Evaluate network performance including availability, utilization, throughput, latency, and reliability.
Perform infrastructure troubleshooting, system monitoring, performance tuning, and vendor coordination.
Support Windows and Linux server administration.
Deploy, configure, administer, and support AWS, Microsoft Azure, and additional cloud platforms.
Design, deploy, and support enterprise application hosting environments.
Configure and administer Azure DevOps organizations, projects, repositories, and CI/CD pipelines.
Manage Azure DevOps organizational settings and source control repositories.
Support middleware technologies including API Management and automation services.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, networking, and security teams.
Identify opportunities to improve infrastructure performance, operational efficiency, scalability, and cost optimization.
Provide technical guidance and support to IT and development teams.
Perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
5 8 years of Information Systems Engineering or related experience.
3 5 years supporting enterprise infrastructure and network environments.
2 3 years of AWS administration.
Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform).
Experience supporting middleware technologies.
Experience working within enterprise/state government IT environments.
Experience supporting large-scale cloud infrastructure.
