Job Description
We are seeking experienced Data Center Cable Technicians to support structured cabling and fiber installation work on a large-scale data center project in the Manassas, VA area. This opportunity is ideal for technicians with hands-on cabling experience inside a data center environment, particularly those who want long-term growth and the potential to transition into a permanent role. Technicians will work within an active construction environment alongside senior leads to support ongoing infrastructure buildouts.
What You'll Do
Pull and route fiber optic cable and copper cabling throughout the data center
Perform terminations on fiber and copper connections
Test and certify cabling using Fluke testers
Dress and organize cable bundles to meet data center standards
Drop cable using fish tape and route through designated pathways
Install cable trays, pathways, support structures, and related hardware
Perform grounding tasks for racks, equipment, and cable as required
Perform fire-stopping procedures and install sleeves for penetrations
Follow construction prints and installation standards
Complete documentation and required project paperwork accurately and on time
Adhere to all safety requirements in a data center construction environment
Support additional tasks as assigned by the project team
What You Bring
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in a data center environment
Experience pulling fiber optic cable
Experience terminating copper and fiber
Experience using Fluke testers for certification
Ability to follow prints, directions, and structured installation processes
Experience using hand tools (snips, screwdrivers, wrenches, socket sets, etc.)
Ability to articulate technical experience clearly and professionally
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Nice to Have
Experience dressing cable bundles to data center standards
Experience building and grounding server racks
Exposure to large-scale, fast-paced construction environments

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $27.00/hr.
