Job Title: Senior Network Engineer Network Security

Senior Network Engineer to support enterprise network and cybersecurity infrastructure. The consultant will design, implement, administer, and troubleshoot secure network environments involving next-generation firewalls, VPNs, cloud networking, network segmentation, routing/switching, and security monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and configure Palo Alto and Check Point firewalls, including security policies, access rules, migrations, and deployments.
Manage GlobalProtect VPN and enterprise remote-access solutions.
Design and maintain secure LAN/WAN, routing, switching, VPN, and network segmentation architectures.
Configure firewall/security policies in cloud network environments and monitor network traffic.
Perform security administration, incident troubleshooting, risk assessments, and remediation.
Work with NGFW, VPNs, log collectors, monitoring tools, and security infrastructure.
Develop network security architecture supporting segmentation and limiting lateral movement.
Analyze network traffic, logs, alerts, vulnerabilities, and security events.
Maintain network diagrams, firewall rules, configurations, IP addressing, VLANs, and operational documentation.
Develop documentation and security controls aligned with NIST standards.
Collaborate with cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, application, database, and telecommunications teams.
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and advanced troubleshooting.
Evaluate emerging network/security technologies and participate in POCs and technology implementations.
Required Qualifications:
5 10+ years of combined IT/network/security experience.
Strong enterprise networking and cybersecurity experience.
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto or Check Point firewalls.
Experience with GlobalProtect VPN or enterprise VPN technologies.
Strong knowledge of routing, switching, LAN/WAN, network segmentation, and network security.
Experience with NIST security standards/frameworks.
Experience with cloud networking and cloud security controls.
Experience with network monitoring, logging, packet analysis, and incident response.
Experience creating network/infrastructure diagrams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
