Sr Exchange Administrator

Hansen Talent Group is seeking a strong Sr Exchange Administrator to join a Microsoft Platform team in the greater Columbia, SC area. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience with supporting MS Exchange, MS 365, and Sharepoint as well as in-depth experience with platform security. 

The Sr Exchange Administrator will be responsible for supporting a hybrid, enterprise MS 365 platform and Exchange environment. The messaging environment consists of Microsoft Exchange Online mail services, on-premises Exchange servers, MS Defender and Purview, MS 365 Cloud services, Windows Server, and VMware. 

Duties:

• Perform day-to-day oversight and manage overall health for Exchange Online system within an Office 365/M365 hybrid cloud environment.
• Collaborate with business units to understand messaging needs for business operations, configuring messaging workflows and security permissions.
• Provide support for MS 365/Exchange/SharePoint implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and monitoring for both physical and virtual servers. 
• Manage roles, services, and permissions
• Troubleshoot email routing devices and security services (like McAfee/Trellix, Proofpoint and Edge devices).
• Create, test, and implement PowerShell scripts to automate and standardize routine tasks and monitoring.
• Utilize MS Defender and Purview to support system security and endpoint management.
• Investigate performance issues and troubleshoot/reconfigure servers and messaging workflows as needed. Collaborating with network teams to remove latencies. 
• Establish and maintain comprehensive availability and capacity management solution using lessons learned and best business practices

Qualifications:

• In-depth experience managing MS O365 and Exchange environments
• PowerShell scripting
