Overview:
Client is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to oversee product quality, compliance, and production standards. The role focuses on ensuring reliability and adherence to specifications for low-voltage (up to 5kV) switchboard systems through inspection, documentation, and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review engineering drawings and design plans for accuracy and standard compliance.
- Develop and maintain inspection and quality control procedures across manufacturing operations.
- Conduct inspections and audits at all production stages to identify and correct variances.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns.
- Evaluate supplier materials and performance as part of the audit process.
- Document quality metrics, reports, and corrective actions.
- Create and update ISO-aligned SOPs for assembly and manufacturing activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within electrical manufacturing or power distribution.
- Knowledge of IEEE, IEC, and NEMA standards.
- Expertise in design review, inspection techniques, and process compliance.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Quality certifications (Six Sigma, ASQ, or equivalent) preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent walking, bending, and lifting in a shop environment.
- Hands-on work using tools and assembly equipment.
- Exposure to typical fabrication conditions (noise, dust, fluctuating temperatures).
- Occasional travel and field assignments requiring PPE.
