Summary

Overview:

Client is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to oversee product quality, compliance, and production standards. The role focuses on ensuring reliability and adherence to specifications for low-voltage (up to 5kV) switchboard systems through inspection, documentation, and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review engineering drawings and design plans for accuracy and standard compliance.
  • Develop and maintain inspection and quality control procedures across manufacturing operations.
  • Conduct inspections and audits at all production stages to identify and correct variances.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to resolve quality concerns.
  • Evaluate supplier materials and performance as part of the audit process.
  • Document quality metrics, reports, and corrective actions.
  • Create and update ISO-aligned SOPs for assembly and manufacturing activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within electrical manufacturing or power distribution.
  • Knowledge of IEEE, IEC, and NEMA standards.
  • Expertise in design review, inspection techniques, and process compliance.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Quality certifications (Six Sigma, ASQ, or equivalent) preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent walking, bending, and lifting in a shop environment.
  • Hands-on work using tools and assembly equipment.
  • Exposure to typical fabrication conditions (noise, dust, fluctuating temperatures).
  • Occasional travel and field assignments requiring PPE.
