title: Associate Distribution Designer

telework: Remote for now, once new office opens, hybrid 4 days in office.
Responsibilities:
Design and construction work package development of electrical overhead and underground distribution systems (operating from 4kV through 138kV), mostly associated with programmatic work such as overloaded transformers, inspection and maintenance, joint use, and inspection reports.
Comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget.
Assist with assigned and requested tasks as needed that contribute to your team s overall development and execution of client work packages and deliverables

Associate Distribution Designer Required Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams;
Ability to collaborate with individuals of diverse backgrounds
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with collaborative platforms such as MS Teams
Candidates must be able and willing to perform both field and office work, as some potential local or regional travel may be involved, in order to collect field data that will assist in the development of customer work packages
Preferred:
Experience with projects in distribution design: using medium voltage switchgear, voltage conversion projects, distribution automation projects
Experience with development of civil & electrical packages associated with complex cable/conduit in dense urban environments
Experience with ESRI, AutoCAD 3D, MicroStation, and/or Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
Associates degree in engineering technology or related field.
