About the Role
We are seeking a Technical Support Specialist to support a portfolio of smart building and building automation technologies. This role is responsible for assisting customers and internal teams with technical inquiries related to building systems, automation platforms, and integrated facility technologies.
The position supports a range of solutions designed to improve building performance, energy efficiency, safety, and occupant comfort, including:
- Building Automation & Control Systems Integrated platforms connecting HVAC, lighting, shading, safety, security, and fire systems
- HVAC Technologies Systems that enhance energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and occupant comfort
- Fire Safety Solutions Detection, alarm, evacuation, and suppression systems
- Smart Building Platforms Digital technologies and applications used to monitor and optimize building operations
- Cloud-Based Building Management Software SaaS solutions that enable centralized building performance monitoring and analytics
This role works closely with field engineers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of product inquiries and technical issues.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and manage incoming technical support requests related to building automation and smart building technologies
- Troubleshoot product issues and respond to technical inquiries regarding system functionality and configuration
- Log and track all support cases within the company's call tracking system in a timely and professional manner
- Resolve a significant portion of support requests independently through technical troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Escalate complex technical issues to Field Support Engineers when necessary
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical issues, resolutions, and customer interactions
- Participate in training programs to expand technical knowledge and improve service delivery
- Support special projects that enhance technical capabilities and operational processes
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to service excellence
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and explain solutions clearly to users
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating systems is a plus
- Familiarity with computer networking concepts is a plus
- Ability to work in a fast-paced technical support environment handling multiple requests
