Middleware Engineer Confluent, Kafka

We are actively seeking a highly skilled Middleware Engineer to join the Platform Engineering team supporting our client.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience designing, deploying, administering, and supporting Confluent Cloud and Kafka environments in enterprise production settings.

Candidates should possess strong scripting and automation experience, expertise with distributed messaging systems, and the ability to troubleshoot complex middleware and infrastructure issues.

This position will focus on platform engineering, middleware administration, automation development, production support, and modernization initiatives across Kafka and Confluent Cloud environments.

Responsibilities include supporting platform deployments, patching activities, infrastructure automation, troubleshooting production issues, mentoring junior engineers, and partnering with architecture teams to align with modern engineering practices and DevSecOps methodologies.
