Summary

Location: Malvern, PA Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Scientist - Long term contract - Hybrid Remote, Mondays and Fridays!

Responsibilities

1) Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business strategy and strategic objectives, define data-driven approaches, translate requirements into analytical projects, and lead high-impact analytical initiatives that align with business goals.

2) Acquire, extract, clean, integrate, and validate structured and unstructured data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality, accuracy, consistency, reliability, and business readiness.

3) Conduct advanced analytics, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning to identify trends, correlations, risks, opportunities, and actionable insights that support business growth, operational efficiency, forecasting, segmentation, and strategic decision-making. Validate analytical methodologies used by other analysts.

4) Develop and deliver executive-level visualizations, dashboards, reports, and presentations that translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling, and actionable insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.

5) Develop, own, manage, automate, and optimize recurring analytics, reporting, and data workflows using Python, SQL, AWS, AI, and other technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, performance, and reduce manual effort.

6) Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud-based data infrastructure to enhance data accessibility, processing speed, scalability, and overall performance.

7) Act as a subject matter expert in analytics, mentoring, coaching, training, and developing analysts while strengthening Vanguard's analytics community through knowledge sharing, presentations, seminars, and resource development.

8) Delegate work and provide guidance to team members and peers, ensuring successful delivery of complex analytical projects and fostering professional growth within the team.

Qualifications
  • 1) 5 - 8 years of related work experience, with at least 4 years in advanced analytics, statistical modeling or business intelligence.
  • 2) Strong proficiency in Python, automation, and machine learning model development.
  • 3) Experience with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, including data lakes and big data processing tools.

4) Ability to translate complex data insights into clear and actionable recommendations for business stakeholders
