Job Summary

• Seeking a Senior Specialist with 7 to 11 years of experience in Java Microservices, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud Platform Fundamentals to design and develop scalable backend solutions on cloud platforms

Job Description 

• Develop and maintain microservices-based backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs to support business functionalities
• Utilize Google Cloud Platform fundamentals to deploy and manage cloud native applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, QA and frontend developers to deliver robust backend solutions.
• Ensure high performance, scalability, and responsiveness of backend services.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to maintain system reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Java microservices and cloud development.
• Work within an Agile development environment following established best practices

Roles and Responsibilities 

• Write clean, maintainable and efficient Java code adhering to coding standards.
• Design, develop and deploy microservices using the Spring Boot framework.
• Implement security, logging and monitoring within microservices
• Participate actively in sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives.
• Conduct unit testing and support integration testing efforts to ensure software quality.
• Optimise application performance and scalability.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance within the team.
• Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Utilise Google Cloud Platform tools and services to enhance application deployment and management
