ROLE SUMMARY |
Participates in quality assurance activities for business and insurance technology applications. Designs and executes test strategies, test cases, and automated testing solutions. Identifies and manages defects to ensure software meets functional, performance, and business requirements. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes and maintain high standards of quality throughout the SDLC. |
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to assess software quality and performance against defined acceptance criteria and quality standards.
- Design and execute test scenarios, requirements traceability matrices (RTM), and test cases; develop and maintain test plans based on business requirements and technical specifications.
- Develop, maintain, and automate test scripts and testing processes where appropriate.
- Identify, analyze, document, and track defects and issues that deviate from approved requirements and design specifications.
- Record test results and communicate defect status and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance best practices, organizational standards, and industry standards.
- Maintain test environments and test data required for test execution.
- Perform impact analysis and risk assessments to support release readiness decisions.
- Track and report quality metrics, including defect density, defect trends, and open defect counts.
- Recommend and implement continuous improvements to testing processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Provide guidance and knowledge sharing to junior QA team members.

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS |
- 5-8+ years of software quality assurance and testing experience.
- Experience using defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, ALM, or similar platforms.
- Experience testing web, desktop, API, and enterprise software applications across multiple platforms.
- Experience managing and supporting test environments and test data.
- Working knowledge of programming concepts, SQL, databases, and data validation techniques.
- Experience performing compatibility, integration, and backend testing.
- Working knowledge of data integration processes and interfaces.
- Experience with test automation frameworks and automated testing tools.
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies, Agile delivery practices, and software testing life cycles.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to software quality.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS |
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Relevant software testing certifications such as ISTQB, CSTE, or equivalent are preferred but not required.
