Job Description - LAN/WAN Infrastructure Analyst

Location: Moline IL USA

Position Overview:

We are seeking a LAN and WAN Infrastructure Analyst to support global networking initiatives, including SNMP enablement, OSPF routing configuration, switch configuration, and firewall management. In addition, this role supports the Information Security team by monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with network configuration, cybersecurity tools, and infrastructure monitoring within a team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Networking / Infrastructure

• Implement LAN/WAN changes across global locations.
• Configure and manage SNMP, OSPF, and network switches.
• Support firewall configuration and day-to-day firewall management.
• Work with engineers to support infrastructure upgrades and changes.

Information Security

• Support development and execution of information security plans and policies.
• Assist in implementing disaster recovery and contingency plans.
• Protect systems against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction.
• Maintain data security, monitor access, and conduct internal/external audits.
• Manage intrusion detection and prevention systems.
• Analyze security breaches to identify root causes and provide corrective actions.
• Monitor performance and escalate issues to security experts when needed.

Skills & Knowledge Required:

• Understanding of database administration, design, and performance tuning.
• Strong knowledge of network security and network administration.
• Familiarity with operating system environments and their security controls.
• Ability to follow structured processes and use security administration tools.
• General understanding of cybersecurity policies and security concepts.
• Ability to work independently with moderate autonomy and support junior staff when needed.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology, Information Technology, or related field
  OR equivalent experience.

Work Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in applications, data, infrastructure, or IT security.
• 1-3 years of general security or IT auditing experience.
• 1-3 years of experience working in an Agile environment.
