Role Title: Business Analyst -HR Data Archiving
Duration: 6 months+ extensions
Preferred Location: Onsite in either Jacksonville, FL or Dallas, TX
Role Description:
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support an HR data archiving initiative. This role will focus on gathering requirements, coordinating stakeholders, and supporting the archival of HR data across multiple legacy systems, with emphasis on Core HR, Payroll, and Timekeeping functions.
The ideal candidate brings strong HR functional knowledge and prior experience on data archiving or decommissioning projects. This role does not require deep technical development skills but will work closely with technical teams responsible for data extraction and storage.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead requirements gathering for HR data archiving across 6-8 legacy HR applications
· Partner with HR, IT, Legal, and Compliance stakeholders to define data retention, access, and archival needs
· Document functional requirements, business rules, and data scope for archival activities
· Support solution design for archiving tools and storage (e.g., Blob storage, databases, vendor tools such as OpenText)
· Facilitate workshops and interviews with business and technical stakeholders
· Translate HR business needs into clear functional documentation for technical teams
· Support testing and validation of archived HR data
· Ensure proper communication between business users and technical delivery teams
· Maintain project documentation and provide regular status updates
Requirements:
· 5+ years of Business Analyst experience
· Proven experience on data archiving, system decommissioning, or legacy system retirement projects
· Strong functional knowledge of:
o Core HR
o Payroll
o Timekeeping
· Experience working with HR systems and HR data structures
· Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
· Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
Plusses:
· Experience supporting ERP transformations (SAP to Oracle or similar)
· Basic knowledge of SQL and/or ETL querying (nice to have, not required)
· Familiarity with archiving tools such as OpenText or similar solutions
· Experience working in multi-system HR environments
