Job Summary
Seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform with strong software engineering expertise and experience in data platforms, analytics, and cloud technologies. This role focuses on designing, developing, deploying, and supporting production-grade applications and data products. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with backend development, APIs, microservices, event-driven architectures, AWS cloud services, CI/CD, and modern data technologies.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, TypeScript/JavaScript, C#, Go, or Kotlin
- Experience building REST/GraphQL APIs, backend services, and web applications
- Hands-on experience with AWS, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Lambda
- Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and software architecture
- Experience with Kafka, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, or streaming platforms
- Expertise in SQL, relational databases, and data modeling
- Experience with automated testing and production support
Preferred Skills
- Spark, Flink, AWS Glue, dbt, Snowflake, Databricks, Iceberg, Athena, Dremio
- Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK
- Observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, CloudWatch, OpenTelemetry
- Machine Learning, MLOps, GenAI integration
- Data Platform, Data Mesh, and Data Lake/Warehouse experience
