Work model: 50% telecommuting, 50% Office per week
--- Project Description ---
Provide technical oversight to application development teams
working in multiple projects, which may include but is not
limited to: disposition processing, fingerprint identification
processing, criminal history updating, content management,
tracking of Wanted/Missing persons, or initiatives related to
Offender Supervision. Guide development teams working in
highly available and scalable multitier applications using Object
Oriented or Service Oriented Architecture. Plan project
resourcing and interact with executive management for
planning and status reporting purposes.
--- Day-to-Day Tasks ---
1. Implement Integrated Justice Portal standards related
to application technologies, including UI standards,
development methodology, and coding and style guides.
2. Act as the primary technical liaison with technical
infrastructure teams to resolve problems and implement
solutions to technical issues impacting application
performance.
3. Work with the Infrastructure team to execute activities
such as performance test planning and execution failure failover
planning and execution, endurance testing and deployment
planning and testing.
4. Provide the analysis, design, and code review
enterprise applications using JAVA/JEE, JSF, XML, XSLT and
the IBM Portal/WebSphere Application development software.
5. Perform oversight of development activities which may
include data analysis, data access, data structures, data
manipulation, preparing logical database models, testing and
implementation.
6. Prepare, and/or review technical documentation such
as designs, schemas, etc., as appropriate.
7. Provide technical guidance to team of developers.
--- Required Qualifications ---
84 months experience designing and implementing highly
available and scalable using Object Oriented or Service Oriented
Architecture involving data structures, algorithms, software design
and JEE design patterns.
84 months experience in creating technical designs and deploying
applications in IBM WebSphere Portal 6.1 or higher, WebSphere
Application servers 6.0 or higher using JAVA Development Kit
(JDK 1.8 or higher).
84 months experience planning, designing, implementing and
integrating systems related to criminal justice processing
(including but not limited to: disposition processing, fingerprint
identification processing, criminal history updating, Sex Offender
management, tracking of Wanted/Missing persons, or initiatives
related to Offender Supervision).
60 months experience in developing application using JBOSS
Drools Rule framework.
60 months experience in identifying and resolving application
performance issues.
48 months experience in architecting, designing, and developing
solutions using Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana.
