RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Entry-Level IT Support in Jacksonville, FL.
Summary:
As an Entry-Level IT Support, you will play a key role in ensuring users have a smooth and positive technology experience. You'll support basic troubleshooting needs, guide users through common IT processes, and help keep systems running efficiently by identifying issues and escalating when needed.
Duties:
* Serve as the initial point of contact for IT support requests via phone, email, or ticketing system
* Assist users with laptop setup, onboarding, and basic hardware configuration
* Walk users through password resets, account access issues, and multi-factor authentication
* Monitor connections and system alerts to help identify basic issues or outages
* Provide clear, patient guidance to users with varying levels of technical comfort
* Follow documented processes to resolve common IT issues and escalate more complex problems to Tier 2 support
* Document issues, steps taken, and resolutions in the ticketing system
* Support a positive, customer-focused IT experience across the organization
REQUIREMENTS:
* 0-3 years of experience in IT support, service desk, or technical support
* 3-5 years of network support
* Experience supporting Windows based environments
* Experience with ServiceNow (preferred but not required)
* Experience with Microsoft 365 and cloud-based environments
* Hands-on experience supporting enterprise network equipment and products including: (Palo Alto, Cisco Catalyst, Meraki, Fortinet)
* General knowledge of mobile devices (iOS/Android)
* Strong communication skills and a willingness to help others
* Comfort working with Windows laptops, basic networking concepts, and user accounts
* A collaborative attitude and desire to grow within an IT support environment
* Ability to follow procedures, stay organized, and manage multiple requests
* Ability to perform in high-volume settings
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel between sites
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
