Manager, Process Engineering Role Overview: We are seeking a Process Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for sustaining and advancing semiconductor manufacturing processes. This role requires a proven people leader (3-5 years) with strong technical depth and cross-functional breadth. A demonstrated ability to drive clear, proactive communication across internal teams and external partners across all levels of the organization will be key to success.
This is an on-site position in the MACOM wafer fab located in RTP, NC.
Key Responsibilities: - Lead and develop a high-performing team of process engineers, providing coaching, performance management, and career development
- Own process performance (yield, quality, cycle time, cost) across one or more modules
- Drive rapid problem-solving and root cause analysis for yield excursions and process drift
- Ensure strong cross-functional alignment with Operations, Product Engineering, Equipment, and external suppliers
- Build and maintain robust documentation, SPC strategies, and control plans
- Communicate status, risks, and recovery plans clearly and proactively to leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications: - BS in Engineering, or equivalent - MS or PhD degree is a plus
- 3+ years of people management experience within a semiconductor wafer fab
- 5+ years of process engineering experience within a semiconductor wafer fab with demonstrated breadth across multiple process modules
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to interpret and act on process and tool data to find and resolve yield, process, or performance issues
- Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools and methodologies (e.g., control charts, Cp/Cpk analysis, DOE)
