Summary

Role: Appian Architect or Appian Lead

 Location: NYC (or) NJ

Longterm contract

Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
8+ years of progressive experience in software development, or technology leadership roles.
Proven track record of designing and implementing complex IT systems and architectures.
Appian Platform Knowledge: Deep understanding of Appian components such as Process Designing, SAIL, Rules, Security, and Integration.
Proficiency in Appian Designer, low-code development, BPMN, and data modeling
Integration and Architecture: Understanding of integrations with REST, SOAP, and other systems; knowledge of Appian architecture and infrastructure
In-depth knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.
Hands-on experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide technical teams.
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a significant advantage.

Additional Preferred skills:
Expertise in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and frameworks (e.g., .NET, React, Angular).
Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
Certification: Senior or Lead Developer certification is a plus

Job Duties
Lead the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions to support business strategies.
Provide technical direction and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and architecture principles.
Act as a key advisor to senior management on technology trends, innovations, and opportunities to enhance business operations.
Oversee and manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of IT systems and applications.
Drive the adoption of modern technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve team productivity and system efficiency.
Mentor and develop technical talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Monitor and evaluate the performance of IT systems, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions.
