Global Supply Manager Semiconductor Cost & Risk Analysis We are seeking a Global Supply Manager (GSM) with deep experience in the semiconductor supply chain to support cost modeling, lead-time analysis, and risk assessment for active components, passives, packaging, and PCBs. This role requires someone who can hit the ground running, partner closely with engineering teams, and apply hands-on electrical and component knowledge to supply strategy and decision-making.
Scope: Perform detailed should-cost and lead-cost analysis for active chips, passive components, semiconductor packaging, and PCBs.
Analyze semiconductor supply lead times and develop actionable recommendations to improve availability and reduce risk.
Build and maintain a silicon details database, including wafer node, die size, yield projections, package types, substrates, passive content, and manufacturing locations.
Develop and manage a BOM risk database, assessing single-source exposure, regional risks, and market volatility.
Partner with engineering, sourcing, and operations teams to align supply strategies with product and design requirements.
Required: In-depth experience in semiconductor supply management, cost analysis, and sourcing.
Strong electrical engineering background with the ability to review datasheets and understand how chips and components are designed and manufactured.
Hands-on experience purchasing electrical and semiconductor components.
Proven ability to perform yield analysis, lead-time modeling, and cost breakdowns.
Ability to operate independently and drive analysis without extensive ramp-up.
Pluses: Experience in automotive, autonomy, or high-reliability electronics environments.
Background working with or at companies such as Meta, Tesla, Texas Instruments, STMicroelectronics, AMD, or similar semiconductor-heavy organizations.
Familiarity with advanced packaging, substrate technologies, and regional manufacturing risk considerations.
Experience collaborating closely with component engineering teams on design-for-supply decisions.
Estimated Min Rate: $50.00
Estimated Max Rate: $70.00/hr+. Depends on work experience.
