  • TRS serves a large and diverse membership of over 210,000 employees and retirees across more than 600 school districts, career tech centers, colleges, and universities, making it the largest of Oklahoma s six state pension systems.

The initiative introduces a modern stack Angular, REST APIs, Azure SQL Managed Instances, Azure Function Apps, Power BI, a document management and process automation solution (pending platform evaluation and alternatives) to support scalable, secure, and efficient operations.

o All IS resources support legacy systems while simultaneously building modernized ones
o Project charter and Software Development Life Cycle established and in practice
o Environment and foundation for modern applications defined and nearing completion
Expected outcomes:
o All major systems operate on the Azure platform with improved performance, scalability, and maintainability.
o Retirement of ALICE and elimination of legacy technical debt.
o Reduced manual work, fewer errors, and significantly improved turnaround times.
o A modern document storage and capture solution, with improved workflows and reduced fragmentation
o Enhanced security posture.
o Improved user satisfaction and accessibility.
