Job Overview

Highly successful and growing industrial manufacturing company is looking to hire multiple Project Managers in the areas of New Product Development and Sustainability. These are high-visibility, cross-functional roles within the Engineering team.

This is not a traditional desk-based PM role. Project Managers are expected to work closely with engineering teams, manufacturing operations, and senior leadership while driving projects from concept to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own project deliverables end-to-end, including timelines, scope documentation, and risk registers.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Operations.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project or equivalent tools.
  • Assign tasks, track progress, and manage project variances.
  • Conduct project meetings, document meeting minutes, and maintain project documentation.
  • Present project status, milestones, risks, and schedule updates to senior leadership and the Product Development Council (PDC).
  • Partner with Product Management to define project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, and timelines.
  • Apply Lean and Quality Improvement principles to improve project execution.
  • Participate in lab activities, manufacturing trials, and field evaluations as required.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Experience managing projects with budgets of $100K+.
  • Proficiency with MS Project or similar project scheduling/resource management tools.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.
  • Familiarity with MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in manufacturing processes for tangible products.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and maintain project momentum.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • PMP certification or equivalent project management credential.
  • Hands-on experience or strong interest in technical/manufacturing environments.
  • Experience working in Lean Manufacturing environments (Lean certification is a plus).
  • Engineering background or education preferred.
