Summary

Job Title: Senior Scrum Master
Location: Atlanta, GA (5 Days Onsite – Local Candidates ONLY)

Job Description

We are seeking a strong Senior Scrum Master with prior experience working at Truist and deep understanding of Truist’s Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile delivery framework, governance standards, and release management processes.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience driving Agile delivery for enterprise-scale application development initiatives within banking/financial services environments, with the ability to lead Scrum ceremonies, remove blockers, and ensure alignment with client delivery standards.

Mandatory Requirements

Prior working experience at Truist is REQUIRED
Strong understanding of Truist SDLC methodology, governance, and application delivery processes
Local to Atlanta, GA ONLY
Must be comfortable working 5 days onsite
Strong Agile/Scrum leadership experience in enterprise environments
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Banking / Financial Services domain experience required

Key Responsibilities

Lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies.
Drive Scrum execution in alignment with Truist SDLC and delivery governance
Coordinate closely with:
- Product Owners/Business Analysts/Development Teams/Release Management/Enterprise Architecture/Program Leadership
Identify and remove delivery impediments proactively
Track sprint progress, velocity, burn-down metrics, and delivery commitments
Ensure compliance with Truist change management, release management, and governance processes
Facilitate dependency management across multiple teams
Coach teams on Agile best practices and continuous improvement
Provide delivery status reporting to leadership and stakeholders
Support risk management, issue escalation, and resolution tracking

Required Skills

8+ years of Scrum Master experience
3+ years in Banking / Financial Services
Hands-on experience with:
- Agile / Scrum / SAFe methodologies
- Jira / Confluence
- Sprint metrics and reporting
- Release planning
- Risk & dependency management

Preferred Qualifications

Scrum Master Certification (CSM / PSM / SAFe Scrum Master)
Experience supporting enterprise application development initiatives
Strong understanding of SDLC governance within large financial institutions
Previous Truist project delivery experience is highly preferred
