SAP FICO Analyst

12 month contract

onsite in Houston 5 days per week

Description

Key Responsibilities

- Provide IT and application support for SAP ECC 6 and S/4HANA financial modules, including FI/CO, General Ledger, Special Ledger, Inventory Valuation, and Foreign Exchange processes.

- Respond to production issues, service requests, and user inquiries across global regions including the Americas, APAC, and Europe.

- Perform analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution while ensuring system stability and operational continuity.

- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and PI planning.

- Collaborate with global sister teams in Budapest and Bangkok as needed to support followthesun operations.

- Provide input and support for enhancement requests and design changes in financial reporting processes.

- Potentially participate in project work depending on bandwidth and readiness.

- Maintain strong communication and teamwork within a colocated team environment.

Required Qualifications

- 5 7 years of SAP experience, primarily in FI and ECC 6; S/4HANA experience is strongly preferred and increasingly valuable.

- Degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or a related field (may be waived for highly experienced candidates).

- Demonstrated experience in production support and troubleshooting of SAP financial processes.

- Strong analytical ability and capacity to ramp up quickly in a complex system environment.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Proven ability to collaborate in an Agile environment.

- Willingness and ability to work onsite five days per week.

Work Environment

On-site 5 days a week in Houston. The work environment is a highly collaborative, onsite team setting where most members are colocated in Houston and work closely together each day. It is also a global, Agile-driven environment that regularly interacts with sister teams in Budapest and Bangkok while maintaining a fast-paced but supportive culture.

- Experience in the oil and gas industry.

- Familiarity with ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.

- Exposure to Fiori applications.

- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
