Summary

Position: ServiceNow Developer

Duration: 06 months of contract with possible extension or conversion

Location: 100% Remote (The candidate can be located in Alabama (AL), Alaska (AK), Arizona (AZ), Arkansas (AR), Colorado (CO), Connecticut (CT), Delaware (DE), Florida (FL), Georgia (GA), Hawaii (HI), Idaho (ID), Illinois (IL), Indiana (IN), Iowa (IA), Kansas (KS), Kentucky (KY), Louisiana (LA), Maine (ME), Michigan (MI), Minnesota (MN), Mississippi (MS), Missouri (MO), Montana (MT), Nebraska (NE), Nevada (NV), New Hampshire (NH), New Mexico (NM), North Carolina (NC), North Dakota (ND), Ohio (OH), Oklahoma (OK), Rhode Island (RI), South Carolina (SC), South Dakota (SD), Tennessee (TN), Texas (TX), Utah (UT), Vermont (VT), Virginia (VA), Washington (WA), West Virginia (WV), Wisconsin (WI), or Wyoming (WY))

Schedule: shifts can start between 6:30am and 9:30am, occasional need for after hours or weekend coverage as our deployment and support needs dictate.

Candidates must have:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in healthcare environment with knowledge of HIPAA
  • SQL experience
  • At least 4 years’ application/system development/programming experience
  • At least 3 years of ServiceNow experience – application with a lot of modules.
  • Has added modules o SPM module experience strategic portfolio management – at least 2 years’ experience

 

Duties:

  • Works with Business Analysts/Process Owners/Requesters to gain an understanding of functional requirements and to develop technical designs and solutions.
  • Analyzes requirements, designs, develop prototypes and works with the Business Analysts/Process Owners/Requesters to fine tune the application, and make recommendations.
  • Participates in peer/code/design reviews to verify that quality standards and functional/technical requirements are met.
  • Design, code, test and implement moderately complex programs; Develops appropriate programs and systems documentation according to established IT standards.
  • Creates test scenarios and develops test plans to be used in testing the business applications in order to verify that client requirements are incorporated into the system design.
  • Enhances existing systems; participates in structured walkthroughs and technical reviews.
  • Supports production systems by helping resolve problems, providing timely follow-up on problem report, optimizing performance and streamlining processes
  • Participates in inspections to verify ''intent of change'' is carried out through the entire project.
  • Provides support, escalation response to production problem issues/errors.
  • Performs root cause analysis and application resolution.
  • Provides on call second-level escalation response for client issues and application tickets
  • Ensures proper documentation and on-time delivery of all technical artifacts and deliverables.
  • Keeps abreast of new Tools & Technology and functionalities across the application.
  • Promotes teamwork and leads by example. Has a strong work ethic and demonstrated ability to prioritize, complete tasks on time, and meet deadlines.
  • Initiates a personal training plan, continue acquiring skills and knowledge, and pursue an understanding of the organization’s business plans and strategies.
  • Maintains highest standards of honesty and integrity. Maintains confidentiality of employee, customer and corporate information.
  • Provides general support, administration and maintenance for the ServiceNow platform
  • Creates custom applications, record producers, catalog items, reports and dashboards.
  • Monitors health, usage and overall compliance of ServiceNow and its applications.
  • Coordinates application and platform upgrades.

 

Skills

  • Experience in an ITIL/ITSM work environment required.
  • Microsoft office suite skills required.
  • SQL experience required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a Health Care environment and familiarity with HIPAA required.
  • At least four (4) years application/system development/programming experience with at least three (3) years of ServiceNow development.
  • Beyond general ServiceNow development skills, we are specifically looking for certain skills including SPM, CMDB/Discovery, Now Assist / AI.

 

Education:

  • BS/BA in related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
