Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Engineer to serve as a liaison between the contractor and Government stakeholders, specifically supporting the United States Air Force (USAF). This role requires strong expertise in full-stack development, system administration, and DevSecOps practices. The ideal candidate will lead software development efforts, support CI/CD pipelines, and ensure the successful integration, testing, and deployment of applications in a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary liaison between the contractor and Government stakeholders (USAF).

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications.

• Perform system administration tasks across multiple operating systems (Windows, Linux).

• Build, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery.

• Lead software testing, evaluation, integration, patching, and troubleshooting activities.

• Develop and execute automated test scripts in an Agile environment.

• Maintain and improve existing software code and application performance.

• Design, update, and manage software databases.

• Recommend enhancements and improvements to existing applications.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Active DoD Security Clearance (required).

Experience Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development (Java, web services, databases, web applications).

• 3+ years of experience working with Agile and Lean methodologies.

• 2+ years of experience with DevSecOps tools and processes, including:

  • Git

  • Concourse

  • SonarQube

  • Fortify

  • Sysdig

• 2+ years of experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

• 2+ years of experience in system administration across Windows and Linux environments.

Core Competencies

• Strong expertise in software development lifecycle (SDLC).

• Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and automation.

• Proficiency in writing automated test scripts.

• Ability to lead and mentor software engineering teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
