Position Overview

Seeking a highly experienced Software Developer with strong Splunk and Microsoft .NET expertise to support modernization, application development, and ongoing system enhancements. This role will focus on building enterprise applications using Splunk components while maintaining and enhancing .NET-based web services and object-oriented applications.

The ideal candidate will bring strong hands-on development skills, the ability to modernize legacy systems, and experience working in Agile environments. This position also includes knowledge transfer and technical training responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement Splunk-based enterprise applications from design through deployment
  • Build dashboards, reports, searches, data models, and knowledge objects within Splunk
  • Integrate Splunk with modernized application architecture and APIs
  • Train development teams on Splunk fundamentals, dashboards, reporting, and enterprise capabilities
  • Rewrite and modernize existing .NET web services and object-oriented applications
  • Implement functionality enhancements and critical security updates
  • Translate business requirements into technical design and programming specifications
  • Develop enterprise solutions following established application and security patterns
  • Build, deploy, and test applications using automated CI/CD pipelines
  • Perform unit and integration testing
  • Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and technical stakeholders
  • Provide technical direction and recommend cost-effective solutions
  • Conduct knowledge transfer and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years developing Splunk applications, APIs, dashboards, and logging solutions
  • Demonstrated ability to write Splunk applications using Splunk APIs
  • Experience administering Splunk dashboards and enterprise configurations
  • 7+ years developing ASP.NET MVC applications using C#
  • 7+ years experience with HTML/CSS
  • 7+ years experience with JavaScript
  • 5+ years unit testing experience (NUnit or JUnit)
  • Experience with Entity Framework
  • Strong T-SQL development experience (MS SQL Server)
  • Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams
  • Experience developing Windows Services using .NET 4.0 or higher
  • Experience with XML schemas and XSLT
  • Experience developing REST and SOAP web services
  • Experience using Web API
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD automation (GitLab or GitHub)
  • Experience with front-end libraries including Bootstrap (4/5) and jQuery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Domain Driven Design (DDD) concepts
  • Experience supporting secure enterprise environments
  • Experience working in regulated or high-security industries

Hybrid work model. Combination of on-site collaboration and remote work.
