Job Description

·        Polaris Analytics Solution Architects will be at the forefront of designing and implementing modern analytics solutions within the Client data & analytics ecosystem.

·        They will bridge the gap between business requirements gathered during Global Process Design and the technical implementation in Detailed Design & Build and beyond. 

·        This is a 2+ year assignment, stewarding Polaris Analytics deliverables from design to deployment and transition to support. 

Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

·        Collaborate with stakeholders (Business Analytics Leads, D&B Leads, etc.) to understand business needs and translate them into scalable architectures

·        Design end-to-end data products that encompass data ingestion, transformation, storage, and consumption

·        Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools based on requirements

·        Take ownership for the technical design and build for a given track within Polaris Analytics

·        Estimate the size and complexity of business requirements and manage inter-track technical dependencies

·        End-to-End Solution Design and Build

·        Architect end-to-end data products, including systems, processes, integrations, and consumption layers

·        Ensure efficient and reliable data movement from source systems to data warehouses

·        Optimize data pipelines for performance, scalability, and maintainability

·        Ensure adherence to IT principles and architecture mandates

·        Oversight on Deloitte Factory to build per design and ensure high quality of deliverables from vendor

·        Implement best practices for observability, automation, and thorough handovers

·        Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices

·        Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to address data privacy concerns

Testing and Deployment

·        Lead testing efforts to validate the solution’s functionality and performance

·        Implement observability tools to monitor system health

·        Facilitate smooth transitions to support teams

Required Skills

·        Proficiency in designing and developing data models, schemas, and queries within the Snowflake Cloud Data Warehouse

·        Experience with setting up and managing data pipelines using Fivetran and Qlik Replicate for seamless data synchronization

·        Knowledge of APIs and streaming data

·        Understanding of the principles behind the data mesh approach and its implications for modern data architectures

·        Expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines using Snowflake and SQL

·        Familiarity with DBT (Data Build Tool) for transformation

·        Expertise in designing and optimizing data pipelines for reliability and performance

·        Proficiency in the analytics stack relevant to the assigned track

·        Familiarity with source systems such as SAP S/4HANA (S4).
