Location: 7300 South Kedzie Ave., Chicago, IL 60629
Work Hours: This position is 100% onsite, working 3rd shift to start (11pm to 7am, M-F) with a possible move to 2nd shift and weekends so flexibility is critical.
Description:Conduct regular inspections of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and food safety regulations.Monitor production lines for adherence to established quality protocols and report any deviations immediately.Implement and manage quality holds as necessary, ensuring proper documentation of the reasons for holds and the outcomes of investigations.Prepare and maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspections, investigations, and resolutions.Work closely with production staff to ensure understanding and compliance with quality expectations.Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives in line with regulatory standards.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing product quality, safety, and efficiency within the manufacturing process.Prepare reports on quality metrics and communicate findings to management and relevant stakeholders.
Requirements:Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Quality, Manufacturing, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.3-5 years of experience in quality, food safety, or manufacturing roles.Experience executing quality holds, investigations, and documentation.Willingness to work assigned production shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift).Familiarity with quality systems and regulatory requirements (e.g., QCMS, HACCP, FSSC) preferred.
