Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Applications Manager to lead the administration, optimization, and continuous improvement of enterprise business applications supporting Finance, Procurement, Expense Management, and related business functions. This role will serve as the technical owner and system administrator for key SaaS platforms including NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, and Celigo, ensuring reliable operations, integrations, data integrity, compliance, and alignment with business objectives.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, business process knowledge, stakeholder management, and application support experience within highly regulated environments such as Biotech, Pharma, Medical Devices, or Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Application Management
- Act as the primary system administrator and technical owner for NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, and Celigo.
- Oversee system configuration, administration, user provisioning, security management, and day-to-day operations.
- Ensure application performance, availability, reliability, and compliance with organizational policies.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system functionality and user experience.
Technical Leadership & Support
- Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for enterprise applications and integrations.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and resolution of complex technical issues.
- Manage escalations and ensure timely communication with stakeholders.
- Mentor team members and provide technical guidance on application management best practices.
Business Analysis & Solution Delivery
- Partner with Finance, Procurement, Accounting, and other business stakeholders to understand operational needs.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical solutions.
- Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, use cases, and solution documentation.
- Support system design, testing, implementation, and deployment activities.
Integrations, Automation & Development
- Develop, maintain, and support integrations, workflows, automation scripts, and system enhancements.
- Manage integrations between NetSuite, Coupa, Concur, Celigo, and other enterprise platforms.
- Ensure data consistency, integrity, and compliance across systems.
- Collaborate with internal IT teams and external vendors on application enhancements and integrations.
Testing, Change Management & Compliance
- Develop and execute test plans for new functionality and system enhancements.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities with business stakeholders.
- Support change management processes, impact assessments, and release planning.
- Ensure systems comply with SOX, GxP, and organizational governance requirements.
- Maintain accurate system documentation and audit-ready records.
Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnership
- Serve as a liaison between IT and business teams.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate project status, risks, and recommendations.
- Facilitate cross-functional discussions and drive consensus among stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiencies.
- Support business KPI tracking and post-implementation success measurement.
Strategic Planning
- Contribute to application roadmaps and technology strategy discussions.
- Evaluate new technologies and recommend solutions that align with business objectives.
- Assess risks and impacts associated with system changes and business initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications.
- Hands-on experience administering and supporting:
- NetSuite
- Coupa
- Concur
- Celigo
- Experience with SaaS application integrations, workflows, and automation.
- Strong understanding of Finance, Procurement, Expense Management, and Accounting business processes.
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting business processes, and supporting solution delivery.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience within Biotech, Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Healthcare, or other regulated industries.
- Knowledge of GxP, SOX, and compliance-driven environments.
- Experience with DocuSign and additional enterprise SaaS applications.
- Experience supporting data governance, audit requirements, and compliance initiatives.
- Exposure to integration platforms, APIs, middleware, and automation tools.
- Experience managing vendors and third-party application providers.
