Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Engineer with 12+ years of IT experience in designing, implementing, automating, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS or Azure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), DevOps automation, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, cloud security, and production support.

 

Key Responsibilities

Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership for cloud engineering initiatives.

Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps teams, and security teams to deliver cloud solutions.

Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, deployment, and production incidents.

Implement disaster recovery, backup strategies, high availability, and business continuity solutions.

Optimize cloud resource utilization, performance, availability, and costs.

Monitor cloud environments using CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar tools.

Establish cloud security standards, IAM policies, encryption, secrets management, and compliance controls.

Implement cloud networking, including VPC/VNet, subnets, routing, load balancers, VPNs, DNS, and firewalls.

Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.

Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and operational tasks using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

Implement CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI/CD.

Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.

Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

 

Required Technical Skills

Version Control: Git, GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket

Configuration Management: Ansible, Chef, or Puppet

Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor

Security: IAM, RBAC, Key Vault, Secrets Manager, encryption

Networking: VPC/VNet, DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancing, routing

Operating Systems: Linux and Windows Server

Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell

Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Amazon EKS, or Azure AKS

CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps

Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or Bicep

Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)

 

Preferred Qualifications

Strong troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership skills.

Relevant AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform certifications.

Experience implementing DevSecOps practices.

Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization.

Experience with serverless computing and event-driven architectures.

Knowledge of microservices and distributed systems.

Experience with cloud migration and modernization projects.
