Redesign AEM Solution Engineer

Responsibilities

Development & Platform Engineering

•      Design, develop, and maintain AEM components, templates, workflows, jobs, and integrations while ensuring stability and performance across environments.

•      Design, develop, and support AEM components, integrations, and applications for building websites.

Performance, Caching & Troubleshooting

•      Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Dispatcher configuration, caching, and overall system performance.

•      Monitor application health and implement observability and diagnostics.

CI/CD & Deployment

•      Support CI/CD pipelines including Cloud Manager operations, automated builds, deployments, and testing.

Collaboration & Standards

•      Work closely with Architects and Product Owners to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.

•      Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and security guidelines.

Technical Leadership

•      Perform code reviews, mentor junior developers, and guide AEM development practices.

Integrations

•      Integrate AEM with third-party systems such as CRM, DAM, analytics tools, and custom APIs.

Continuous Improvement

•      Stay current with AEM features, cloud services, and Adobe Experience Cloud advancements.

IV.  Mandatory Skills / Experience 

Experience & Certification

•      8+ years of experience in AEM development; strong hands-on experience with AEM Sites, Assets, Sling Jobs and workflows.

•      Relevant AEM certifications such as Adobe Experience Manager Sites Architect, Adobe Experience Manager Sites Lead, Adobe Experience Manager DevOps, Adobe Experience Manager Sites Developer.

Technical Expertise

•      Expertise in Java, Sling, OSGi, HTL (Sightly), and front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

•      Strong knowledge of Dispatcher configs, caching techniques, and performance tuning.

•      Experience deploying websites to AEM Cloud Service and on-premises installations.

•      Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Jenkins, or other DevOps tools.

•      Strong troubleshooting skills and experience resolving production issues in AEM environments.

Leadership & Delivery

•      Provide technical leadership to development teams, including mentoring, conducting code reviews, and promoting industry best practices (DevOps, Cloud, Agile).

•      Collaborate with business teams to define requirements, identify risks, and define maintainable solutions within the AEM platform.

•      Design, develop and support AEM components, integrations, and applications for building websites.

•      Familiarity with Agile development practices and team collaboration tools.

V.  Desirable Skills / Experience

The following are not required, but are considered a plus.

•      Experience with Adobe Target.

•      Experience integrating Adobe Analytics with AEM.

•      Experience with Akamai Content Delivery Network for websites.

•      Experience with language translation tools such as Smartling or Transperfect.

•      Experience with search engines such as Coveo or Solr.
