Job Title: Senior Data Engineer (Python & Palantir)
Location: Spring, TX 77389 (Onsite)
Job Type: Long-Term Contract
Domain Preference: Oil & Gas (preferred)

Role Overview

Join the CCS100 Fusion Team to help design and build advanced data solutions that drive investment and operational decisions for a large-scale carbon capture initiative along the U.S. Gulf Coast. This role focuses on developing and optimizing the data layer using the Palantir Foundry platform, enhancing existing architectures, and enabling scalable, high-performance data systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Quickly understand and analyze the existing CCS100 data architecture and translate it into a Palantir Ontology framework
  • Design, implement, and optimize data models to improve performance, scalability, and flexibility
  • Develop and manage data ingestion and export pipelines, ensuring reliability and efficiency across systems
  • Build robust data validation and transformation workflows leveraging Palantir Foundry capabilities
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on Palantir tools to the broader CCS100 team
  • Develop interface code and reusable components to facilitate seamless integration with Ontology data
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions on time

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience)
  • Proven experience in data engineering and building data-intensive applications
  • Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, particularly in data modeling and Ontology Manager
  • Proficiency in Python for data processing and transformation
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex data architectures
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills in Agile team environments
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver within tight timelines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with additional Palantir Foundry tools such as Workshop, Quiver, etc.
  • Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry
