We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to support a leading higher education organization in Boston. This role is responsible for leading enterprise IT projects from initiation through completion, coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project schedules, mitigating risks, and ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate is an organized and collaborative leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and excels at managing multiple initiatives while keeping stakeholders informed and projects on track.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple enterprise IT projects simultaneously.
- Develop and maintain:
- Project plans
- Project schedules
- Resource allocations
- Coordinate cross-functional business and technical teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues.
- Facilitate project meetings and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage:
- Project scope
- Timelines
- Deliverables
- Foster collaboration across business units and technical teams.
- Ensure projects align with organizational priorities and strategic objectives.
- Drive projects through all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to completion.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of IT Project Management experience.
- Proven experience managing enterprise IT projects.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with project management tools, including:
- Microsoft Project
- Smartsheet
- Jira
- Azure DevOps
- Similar project management platforms
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification preferred.
- Experience working within higher education environments.
- Experience managing projects using:
- Agile methodologies
- Waterfall methodologies
