Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead enterprise-wide technology strategy, data modernization, and digital transformation initiatives across healthcare and payer ecosystems.

This role will be responsible for defining the target-state architecture, establishing enterprise standards, shaping multi-year technology roadmaps, and driving modernization across data, analytics, integration, and AI platforms. The ideal candidate combines deep architectural expertise with strong business acumen and has a proven track record of transforming healthcare or insurance technology landscapes.

As a trusted advisor to executive leadership, the Enterprise Architect will ensure that technology investments align with business objectives while delivering scalability, interoperability, governance, security, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture Strategy & Roadmap

• Define and maintain the enterprise technology vision aligned to business goals and growth strategy.
• Develop and govern 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year enterprise architecture roadmaps.
• Establish target-state architectures across data, integration, analytics, cloud, and AI platforms.
• Identify modernization opportunities and prioritize strategic technology investments.
• Develop architecture principles, standards, reference architectures, and technology blueprints.
• Drive alignment across business, product, engineering, operations, and security functions.

Data & Platform Architecture Leadership

• Lead enterprise data architecture strategy across healthcare, claims, provider, payer, clinical, and financial domains.
• Design scalable, cloud-native data platforms supporting operational reporting, analytics, AI/ML, and self-service data consumption.
• Define enterprise data models, canonical business entities, and data standards.
• Establish strategies for:
  • Data Lakehouse Architecture
  • Data Mesh
  • Semantic Layer Design
  • Master Data Management (MDM)
  • Metadata and Catalog Management
• Drive enterprise-wide data governance, lineage, quality, and stewardship initiatives.
• Architect modern data platforms leveraging OCI, Databricks, Delta Lake, and related technologies.

Healthcare Data & Interoperability

• Define architecture patterns supporting healthcare interoperability and data exchange.
• Provide leadership across:
  • EDI 835 & EDI 837 Transactions
  • HL7 Integration
  • FHIR-based APIs and Data Exchange
  • Claims and Revenue Cycle Platforms
  • Denial Management Solutions
  • Provider and Payer Analytics
• Ensure enterprise data models support evolving business and regulatory requirements.
• Drive interoperability strategies that improve data accessibility, quality, and operational efficiency.

AI, Analytics & Digital Transformation

• Define enterprise analytics and AI strategy aligned to business outcomes.
• Establish architecture frameworks for:
  • Data Products
  • Predictive Analytics
  • AI/ML Platforms
  • Generative AI Solutions
  • Self-Service Analytics
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and AI-driven capabilities.
• Guide technology adoption and modernization across the organization.

Architecture Governance & Technology Leadership

• Establish enterprise architecture governance processes and decision frameworks.
• Review and approve strategic solution architectures and major technology investments.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and define adoption strategies.
• Partner with executive leadership to assess risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities.
• Mentor architects and engineering leaders on enterprise architecture best practices.
• Lead cross-functional architecture councils and technology review boards.
• Present architecture strategy, roadmaps, and transformation plans to senior executives.

Required Qualifications

Experience

• 15+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Data Architecture, Platform Architecture, or related leadership roles.
• 10+ years leading large-scale data, platform, or digital transformation programs.
• Demonstrated experience defining enterprise technology strategy and architecture roadmaps.
• Proven success designing and implementing modern healthcare, payer, insurance, or revenue cycle platforms.
• Experience influencing executive stakeholders and leading enterprise-wide technology decisions.
