Technical Lead

Position: Technical Lead 
Location: New York City , NY  (Hybrid)

Must-have : Microservices, Python, Cloud Computing. 
10+ years in backend development, including 5+ years with Django
Good to have: Azure Databricks, Delta Lake and Delta tables, PySpark. 

Senior Technical Lead – Python, Microservices, Cloud Django backend lead for scalable APIs and cloud-deployed microservices on Azure 
Role Purpose: Lead backend development using Django and Databricks — designing scalable, secure APIs and microservices, integrating Azure Cloud services, and guiding a technical team through architecture decisions, code quality, and delivery. 

Core Skills
• Python and Django (expert); RESTful APIs and web services
• Microservices architecture design and implementation
• Azure Cloud services (hands-on); containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
• SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, Agile methodologies
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities 
• Lead the development of backend systems using Django/Databricks. 
• Design and implement scalable, secure APIs and microservices architecture. 
• Integrate Azure Cloud services for application deployment and management. 
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions. 
• Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers. 
• Optimize database performance and manage data storage (SQL and NoSQL). 
• Ensure high performance and security standards; participate in architecture design and technical decision making.
